This initiative emphasizes the importance of environmental education and instilling a sense of responsibility towards nature in future generations, implementing it in a scientific and structured approach that respects sustainability and life preservation, and serves as a bridge connecting learning to students daily experiences and community engagement, in line with the objectives of the City of Penjwen for Learning. The City of Penjwen for Learning Program, with its full support, provides an ideal platform for this voluntary initiative to implement best practices in environmental education, making it a living example of the City of Penjwen for Learnings goals in practical and community-based learning. With the participation of the District Governor of Penjwen, the Director of Penjwen Education, and a number of supervisors, officials, and volunteers of the Penjwen Learning City Program, an official delegation from the Iraqi Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was warmly received. The delegation was composed of Dr. Ali Kamel, representing the Department of Cultural Relations, Dr. Adnan Mohammed, and Dr. Zainab Salam. During a consultative meeting held with the programs team and volunteers, key activities and initiatives implemented within the programs framework were discussed, highlighting their significant role in strengthening education and promoting community development in Penjwen District. Penjwen November 5, 2025 In a ceremony filled with pride and appreciation, a special event was held today in the City of Penjwen for Learning, where over 75 creative and active young people in the fields of sports and education were recognized and awarded in appreciation of their efforts and achievements. The event was attended by a special representative and envoy from the Higher Education Academy of the Government of Iraq, the Mayor of the Penjwen District, and several official figures from the region, all of whom emphasized the vital role of youth in advancing society. This ceremony, as part of the ongoing program Penjwen, Learning City , was not only seen as an opportunity to encourage more youth participation, but also as a powerful message underscoring the need for continued support of young talents in this city.
